Music for Bump in English & Italian

So i have decided to play my bump music now i can feel her starting to move around as i have read its good to stimulate a baby this way and bond with it more.

I have also read that playing classical music to an unborn child can increase intellegence πŸ™‚ I already know shes going to be a clever girl and take after her daddy that way but every little helps.

So a twitter friend of mine who played music to his little one to gave me some suggestions of what to play. So after an hour of searching i found ‘ A Masterpiece collection’ which had all the popular slections of classical music.

Listening to each song i realised i knew alot of them but hadnt know the titles of them! So i sat smiling away and adding all the ones i like to my ipad! A few of my favorites are Air on a G string, Asturias, Fur Elise, Moonlight Sonata, Les Toreadors and O Sole Mio which is sung in italian πŸ™‚

I really want to find some italian lullabies as well as its good for my little peanut to start hearing the other language shes going to be born into and not english all the time. So im going to get Alex to help me to search for something but if we cant find anything like that then some old italian songs will be ok.

As i think its very important for her to be familiar with both languages or at least the sounds of them. It might make it easier for her to learn them once shes born as we really want her to be bilingual.

I did add a few Disney songs as well like Mary Poppins, little Mermaid etc as there kinda nice and up lifting to.

So in the afternoon i used the new headphones i had bought and places them on my growing belly and played some classical music. I think she liked it because i did feel more movement like she was dancing around! either that or i scared the crap out of her lol

Hopefully she likes it and will enjoy her music sessions i want to do once a day πŸ™‚

Im also talking to her more as well as i have read now after 18 weeks she can hear outside the womb and its also a good way to bond.

Even now i can feel way more movement than before so i think the classical music did have some kind of positive effect.

Im thinking of buying ‘the hobbit’ and getting Alex to read it to me and bump in the evenings so she gets used to his voice as well and he will feel included in the bonding process more to. Although im not sure weather to get it in english or italian i will have to ask his opinion first as hes the one doing the reading lol!

I looked on the H&M website today and found they had started to do there summer like maternity clothes! and they have over the bump leggins! which i would really like to get as they look pretty comfy and will be a must need for the hot Roma summers here!
